Last yr, CBHS took in 2,300 cats, including strays and owner surrenders.

The increased number of individual and community cat condos will allow CBHS staff and the medical team to raised meet the non-public and health needs of each cat and kitten within the shelter. The cats are spayed and neutered, vaccinated and receive any crucial medical care before being adopted.

“We at all times have cats that need medical care or special food or produce other needs that must be met. We take care of numerous fleas and ear mites and other issues. Cats are available in with upper respiratory issues. It’s like kids at a day care center – you don’t know what the cats have been exposed to once they are available in, they usually can pass something along to the opposite cats,” Gardner explained.
